The Centre for Eye and Vision Research participated in the Asia Summit of Global Health on 17-18 April 2023. Our presence at the event allowed us to showcase not only our new diagnostic tool for early eye diseases, but also our latest creation – ObstAR, an obstacle detection and navigation system in Augmented Reality designed for the visually impaired.
Our cutting-edge technologies have the potential to revolutionize the field of eye and vision, which can ultimately lead to better outcomes for patients. We were proud to have a strong team of CEVR’s principal investigators and postdoctoral fellows from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Waterloo in Canada to support us at the summit.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with other leaders in the field of healthcare and share our vision for the future of eye care. In addition to showcasing our products, we're excited to announce that we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Cloudbreak Pharma, a clinical stage ophthalmic drug company, for a joint research. This collaboration will help bring our innovative solutions to ocular drug discovery and development, ultimately benefiting patients around the world.
We're grateful to everyone who made our participation in the Asia Summit of Global Health a success, especially thanks to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Innovation and Technology Commission for their ultimate support in making this success possible！
