CEVR’s Innovative Projects Receive Golden Medal Awards at The 3rd Asia Exhibition of Innovations and Inventions Hong Kong!

8 Dec, 2023 (FRI)

The Centre for Eye and Vision Research participated in The 3rd Asia Exhibition of Innovations and Inventions Hong Kong on 7-8 Dec 2023. We are thrilled to announce that CEVR has been honored with not one, but two Golden Medal awards at The 3rd Asia Exhibition of Innovations and Inventions Hong Kong! This prestigious recognition showcases our dedication to innovation and our commitment to revolutionizing the field of eye and vision health.

The first award-winning project is the World's First Quantum Technology in Vision Science – the Quantum Imaging Diagnostic Tool for Early Detection of Macular Degeneration (AMD). By harnessing the power of Structured Light Tomography (SLT) and generating a quantized spin-orbit beam, this groundbreaking technology enables precise and early diagnosis of AMD.
Our second award-winning project is ObstAR, an Augmented Reality (AR) Device designed specifically to assist the visually impaired. With its advanced AR visualization, image detection, and image segmentation technologies, ObstAR provides invaluable assistance through precise object recognition, obstacle detection, and obstacle distance measurement. By combining audio Bluetooth output with AR visualization, it offers enhanced navigation instructions for the visually impaired.
We extend our sincere gratitude to The Hong Kong Exporter Association, Geneva Invention, and Palexpo for organizing this remarkable event that celebrates and supports innovative inventions in Hong Kong. Their commitment to fostering innovation and providing a platform for groundbreaking projects is truly inspiring.
This well-deserved recognition fuels our passion and motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the field of eye and vision health. Stay tuned as we forge ahead, making a lasting impact and transforming the lives of individuals worldwide.
