The Centre for Eye and Vision Research participated in the Gerontech and Innovation Expo Summit (GIES) on 23-26 Nov 2023.CEVR had the privilege of hosting esteemed guests at our booth, including Professor Chung-mau LO, BBS, JP, Secretary for Health, Dr. Ha-yun LEE, Libby, JP, Under Secretary for Health, and Mr. Duncan CHIU, HKSAR Legislative Council Member (Technology and Innovation). Their visit was marked by their immense enthusiasm and passion for the development of innovative health technologies in eye and vision research.
We were thrilled to welcome a vibrant and enthusiastic group of elderly individuals who eagerly explored our groundbreaking eye and vision technologies. The expo provided an ideal platform for us to introduce our revolutionary products, ObstAR—an Augmented Reality (AR) Device Designed to Enhance the Lives of the Visually Impaired, and Quantum Imaging Diagnostic Tools for Early Macular Degeneration. These innovative solutions aim to significantly improve the quality of life for individuals by empowering them with enhanced vision and timely diagnosis, ultimately enabling them to lead more fulfilling lives.
Our research team conducted two captivating product demonstration sessions, and the response from our guests was truly remarkable. Their infectious curiosity and enthusiasm left us feeling inspired, with many expressing a strong desire to delve even deeper into our offerings and even volunteer as research project participants.
