Organisation Background: Centre for Eye and Vision Research Limited (CEVR) is a research collaboration between The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the University of Waterloo (UW) in Canada under the InnoHK initiative. It is located at the Hong Kong Science Park, Pak Shek Kok, New Territories. The centre operates a clinical and a wet laboratory which houses cell culture, animal experimentation, mass spectrometry and other clinical facilities in eye research. Ground-breaking research in five key areas – myopia and eye growth, ocular drug discovery and delivery, vision enhancement, tear film and ocular surface and advanced optometric technology will be carried out in the lab. The mission of CEVR is to generate technologies to prevent vision loss in the aging population and preserve healthy vision.
The appointee will report directly to the Marketing Manager and perform various functions supporting media production and marketing activities.
Duties

  1. Responsible for creative concept development and handling all stages of design such as social media visual designs, infographics and animated shorts, video shooting and editing, Photography, photo retouching and mock-ups, brochures, POP, flyers, EDM, Booth Design, etc.
  2. Supporting marketing initiatives with creative ideas and solutions.
  3. Supporting technical campaigns and events.
  4. Overseeing creative design initiatives and coordinating with external partners.
  5. Perform ad-hoc projects/ duties as assigned by CEO and Scientific Director as well as COO and Deputy Scientific Director of CEVR and/or their delegates.
Qualifications:

Applicants should:

  • Relevant diploma or bachelor in multimedia design, graphic design, creative media, advertising, or related fields with at least 2-3 years of experience
  • Ability to conceptualize and create design content.
  • Experienced in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere etc.
  • Strong artistic sense and marketing
  • Ability to conceptualize and create design content
  • Knowledge of 3D animation is a plus
  • Good team player, multi-tasking, willing to learn, open-minded, and highly responsible
  • Pro-active attitude and ability to work independently and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
