We are incredibly proud to announce that CEVR’s groundbreaking research has achieved massive success at the 9th China (Shanghai) International Invention and Innovation Exhibition 2026 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center!

Our teams brought home prestigious awards for technologies reshaping the future of vision science and eye care. Adding to the excitement, our Eye-on-a-Chip project was selected for the exclusive 'Road Show of Outstanding Inventions.' Presented by Dr. Liping ZHOU, the session sparked fantastic discussions with investors eager to collaborate on bringing this technology to market.

Eye-on-a-Chip Device (Gold Medal) | Led by Dr. Liping ZHOU, Dr. Chau-Minh PHAN, Dr. Ka-Ying WONG, and Dr. Brandon HO. A low-cost, highly reproducible testing platform that mimics the eye's microenvironment—shortening R&D timelines and improving clinical predictability for ophthalmic products.

Viromids: A Redosable, Low-Cost Gene-Delivery Platform (Gold Medal) | Led by Prof. Roderick SLAVCEV, and along with Prof. Chien-Ling HHANG, Dr. Michael LAI, and Mr. Zei Wei JIANG. This platform delivers therapeutic DNA/RNA to correct genetic disorders at their source, specifically targeting Stargardt disease!

3D Printable Rigid Contact Lens Platform (Gold Medal) | Led by Prof. Shirley TANG, Dr. Sayan GANGULY, and Ms. Sally YANG. Utilizing a proprietary hydrophilic silicone-based ink to 3D-print multiple personalized, clinical-grade lenses in a single 30-minute cycle.

Reshaping the 3D World: Attention-guided Binocular Visual Search System (Silver Medal) | Led by Prof. Ben THOMPSON, Dr. Tingni LI , and Dr. Xiaofei HU. A pioneering therapeutic training system designed to restore and enhance depth perception and binocular coordination in adults.
